Bike Check
|
|
|
|
Cycle helmets must be worn at all times while riding. Please ensure yours is
properly fitted before starting any lesson.
If in doubt, check the page in your folder which shows you the correct way of
fitting your helmet and check it in a mirror before setting off.
Check for a straight fitting, not too loose and not too tight.
|
|
Always clean and check over your bike after each ride and again the day before
your next ride. The main points to check are :
-
brakes function properly and are not worn
-
no twigs or grass or mud is blocking the chain, rear or front mechs
-
handlebars are not loose
-
saddle is at the correct height and is not loose
-
tyres at correct pressure

Make sure you wear clothing that is appropriate to the weather condtions on the
day. Link to metcheck.com for
the latest weather.
Do not let shoe-laces catch in the chain (tuck them away inside your shoe) and
try and avoid wearing long, baggy trousers. If you have to, wear ankle grippers
or tuck them inside your socks.

All members and their parents must adhere to the Rules set out on the Rules
page. This will ensure we all enjoy our cycling in a safe environment.
Parents/Guardians - please remember to collect your child(ren) at the
appropriate time after each session. If in doubt about timings, please call the
Club mobile on 07941 - 137968. Your child depends on you to be there on time.
