Home Contacts Events Safety Membership Club Rules Links Photo Gallery Club Kit News     website by MM	Calshot Indoor Track, June 2008 Calshot Visit Sunday 15th June 2008 Despite many other events on, not least the London-Brighton run, we had full support for our second trip to the Calshot indoor velodrome. The eight riders who were able to go were: Alex, Stephanie, Joe, Jack M, Jonathan, the Preston Bro's Lewis and Ben and Tom. Again we shared the day with the guys from Sutton CC and between us, managed to run a very full three hours. All riders who were there for their second visit improved on their flying one lap time. With Lewis Preston, aged 8, improving 5 seconds, the most improvement of the 18 riders there. I'm happy to say the fastest three were from the Go-Ride Bexley/Woolwich CC. Alex fastest with Stephanie 9/100ths of a second off his time, followed by Joe on his first visit. Is it a coincidence that the fastest two were using bikes donated to the club by ex-riders? Does anyone else have any kit to loan or donate? I was helped all day by Ollie, who managed the timings and produced the certificates for the riders before they had finished their warm down laps, but the biggest thanks go to the riders, drivers/parents who get them there. it's a long day.
